Privacy Policy

This page describes how Hemeroholics handles information collected through this website. We try to keep it short, honest, and plain-language. If anything here is unclear, email us.
What we collect
- Email address — when you sign up for the newsletter.
- Approximate location (city, region, country, derived from your IP) and device information (browser, OS, screen size). Used for analytics so we can understand what reaches which readers.
- Page views and interactions on this site, including which articles are read and which links are clicked.
- Newsletter engagement — when you click a Read More link from a newsletter, we record the click so we can see which articles resonate.
What we don't collect
- We do not sell your data to anyone, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing.
- We do not use third-party advertising trackers, social media pixels, or cross-site profiling tools.
Service providers we use
- Railway — hosts the website and database.
- Cloudflare — DNS, CDN, and bot protection on the newsletter signup (Turnstile).
- Resend — sends our newsletters and tracks bounce notifications.
- Clerk — admin authentication for our internal dashboard only.
Your rights
- Unsubscribe — every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom.
- Access or delete your data— email us and we'll send what we have on file or delete it within 30 days.
Retention
Analytics events (page views, sessions, IPs) are retained for 12 months, then automatically deleted. Subscriber records are kept until you unsubscribe; unsubscribed records are kept as suppression-list entries so we don't accidentally re-add you.
